UPDATE 2/11/26: The SAVE America Act has been passed in the U.S. House! Now we need to urge our Senators to get this bill to the floor and vote YES.
The right to vote in the United States is sacred to all of us, and allowing non-citizens to participate dilutes the voices of American citizens.
The SAVE America Act (a revised version of the SAVE Act) includes a voter identification requirement and mandates proof of citizenship at the time of voter registration—closing loopholes that currently allow noncitizens to register and vote in our elections.
Yet, shockingly, some senators have not yet signed on to support this legislation. The bill has just passed in the House, which means the time to act is NOW. This legislation must become law in order to protect our elections!
Call both Senators and demand that they cosponsor Senate Bill 1383 and support it when it comes to the floor for a vote. Tell them that it’s past time we have confidence in our elections.
We will not sit back and watch as our votes continue to be diluted by non-citizens due to loopholes in the National Voter Registration Act and the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act.
Americans should have full faith and confidence that our elections are legitimate and decided only by lawful ballots cast by U.S. citizens.
Tell the Senate to pass the SAVE America Act NOW!
Call Script:
Hello, my name is ____ and I’m a constituent.
I’m calling to urge Senator [INSERT THEIR NAME] to support bringing S.1383, the SAVE America Act, directly to the Senate floor for a vote as soon as the DHS shutdown ends.
Americans deserve full confidence that our elections are secure and that only U.S. citizens are voting. The SAVE America Act strengthens those safeguards and helps restore trust in the integrity of our elections.
I’m asking Senator [INSERT THEIR NAME] to:
- Support bringing S.1383 to the floor,
- Support the talking filibuster so the bill can receive an up-or-down vote, and
- Vote YES on final passage of the SAVE America Act.
Thank you for your time, and I hope the Senator will make election integrity a top priority.
FAQs
Friends and family may have questions about the SAVE America Act based on misinformation they heard through the legacy media. Here’s the truth about the Democrats arguments against this critical legislation.
Myth: We don’t need this law when it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections.
TRUTH: While technically illegal, current federal law actually interferes with the ability of states to verify voter rolls by preventing them from easily using federal data to confirm citizenship status. Furthermore, current enforcement often only happens *after* a person has already voted. The SAVE America Act provides the proactive verification needed to ensure only eligible U.S. citizens are registered in the first place, protecting the sanctity of the ballot before an election occurs.
Myth: This bill creates strict requirements that disenfranchise legal citizens, such as married women whose names don’t match their birth certificates.
TRUTH: No. The SAVE America Act specifically accounts for name discrepancies resulting from marriage or other legal name changes. The bill allows individuals to register by providing documentation of a name change or simply by signing an affidavit attesting that the name on their citizenship document is a previous name. These common-sense safeguards ensure that no legal citizen is blocked from voting due to a name change.
Myth: Requiring documents like passports or birth certificates a “poll tax” since these documents cost money.
TRUTH: Providing identification is a standard requirement for participating in many secure aspects of American life, including boarding an airplane, opening a bank account, and even entering the Democratic National Convention. Ensuring the integrity of our elections is no different. By requiring proof of citizenship, we protect the value of every legal voter’s voice, ensuring it is not diluted or canceled out by illegal participation.
Myth: This bill violates privacy by sharing state voter rolls with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
TRUTH: This is not a privacy violation, but a tool for accuracy. States are already required to maintain clean voter rolls. The SAVE America Act empowers states to compare their lists against the DHS Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database to identify and remove noncitizens who have been mistakenly or illegally registered. Using existing federal data is the most efficient and accurate way to ensure that only Americans are deciding American elections.
Myth: It’s too close to the election for states to implement these changes without causing chaos.
TRUTH: Actually, 36 states already have some form of voter identification requirement in place. For those that do not, presenting a photo ID at the polls is a simple, straightforward action that the vast majority of Americans—including over 70% of Democrats and over 80% of Hispanic and Black Americans—already support. Strengthening these standards now is necessary to restore public trust in the upcoming electoral process.
Myth: Voter fraud is not actually a real problem.
TRUTH: Yes, it is. There are numerous documented cases of noncitizens and illegal aliens registering and casting ballots across the country, from Iowa and Alabama to Florida and Texas. For example, a noncitizen in Massachusetts was recently convicted of voting in multiple federal elections, including the 2024 Presidential election. In a self-governing republic, one illegal vote is one too many because it silences the voice of a legal American citizen.
Share the TRUTH with your neighbors and encourage them to join you in calling your Senators today!
